Charles-Louis GOGUEL (Saint-Maruice (Doubs), 21 janvier 1802 - Mandeure (Doubs), 11 février 1869), théologien luthérien, pasteur.
Il a épousé en 1829 Emilie-Caroline RAULIN de BELVAL (Moscou, 1809 - Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, 1894), fille de César-Louis-François-Désiré, marquis de Raulin de Belval (Belval, 1751 - Bérésina, 1812) et de Charlotte-Frédérique Piguet (Montbéliard, 1766-1838).
Ils eurent 3 enfants :
- Valérie, qui épousa le pasteur Félix Kuhn.
- Charles-César-Edmond, médecin-major.
- Pauline-Rosalie, qui épousa l'industriel Gustave-Frédéric Goguel.
Fit ses humanités au collège de Montbéliard. Effectua des études pastorales à la faculté de théologie de Strasbourg de 1817 à 1819. Il enseigna dans les classes élémentaires du gymnase protestant de cette ville de 1822 à 1827. Il fut nommé pasteur à Mandeure en 1827. Il y exerça son ministère pednant 42 années. Il fut président du consistoire d'Audincourt de 1842 à 1869. Membre fondateur de la Société d'Emulation de Montbeliard en 1852.

Principal fodnateur et animateur pendant dix années du journal de l'inspection ecclésiastique, L'Ami Chrétien des Familles. L'Ami chrétien est toujours le journal d'édification et d'information au service de l'Eglise évangélique luthérienne au Pays de Montbéliard, après 135 années de parution.

In April 1756, when a large French amphibious expedition invaded the island of Minorca, general Blakeney, the governor of the island, retired to Fort St. Philip de Mahon with his four infantry regiments (4th, 23rd, 24th and 34th). Fort St. Philip, which commanded the town and harbour of Mahon, was probably the most elaborate fortress possessed by the British, and was inferior in strength to few strongholds in Europe. Apart from the ordinary elaborations of the school of Vauban, it was strengthened by countless mines and galleries hewn out of the solid rock, which afforded unusual protection to the defenders.
On April 18, the French landed unopposed at Ciutadella, at the north-western end of Minorca. By April 20, the entire French army had disembarked.
On April 22, a French advanced party took possession of Mahon without meeting any resistance, Blakeney having already retired into Fort St. Philip. M. Raulin de Belval, lieutenant-colonel of the Royal Italien regiment, was immediately appointed commander of Mahon.
